Indianapolis | A Poem by Jessie (from DeviantArt)

A city with no heart at all
A place where corn is harvested in the fall
Nothin’ but a hick town
The only nightlife is the local hoedown
Some travel from near and far
Only to find it a bit bizarre
But there is heart here, a ton in fact
A place where family love is not lacked
Many might find it boring
But once here, they know the spirits are soaring
Never without a friend
They aren’t just here to pretend
Even if you roam from here
You’ll find your heart so very near
This is the city of love
One people seem to take hold of
Watch life unfold
Stay
